Rules

1. Be respectful. This is self-explanatory. Any form of discrimination or hate speech towards users will result in a ban. Any form of bullying will result in a ban.

2. Cursing is allowed, but slurs are not.

3. No sexually explicit content out of character.

4. You must be 15+ years of age to use this site. If there's evidence to the contrary, it's a ban.

5. No advertising outside of the advertisement thread, which will be up soon.

6. No spamming threads or PMs. By spamming, we also want to remind everyone that our users have other things outside of the site; it's one thing to remind someone to reply but it's another thing to bother them constantly about it! 

7. No plagiarism of, including but not limited to, artwork, characters, writing, etc. Please give credit where it's due.

1. There is a character limit! It starts at five for new members. However, every twenty contributions, you are allowed another character! So the more you roleplay, the more characters you'll be allowed to have! 

2. No killing or seriously harming other characters without consent of the player. If a fight breaks out, mild injuries can occur without consent.

3. No high ranking positions can be claimed without being appointed to them or first asking permission from an administrator. You can create nobility without asking.

4. Aster is meant to be a world collectively built by its users. Minor plot points, such as creating a small cult or commune, or owning a profitable bar or business, can be done without permission. However, big plot points must be approved by an administrator. Big plot points include, but are not limited to, assassinating an important character, creating a highly influential group, growing a commune to the size of a large town, etc.

5. Approach sensitive topics like assault, abuse, and incest with caution and trigger warnings at the beginning of threads.

6. Sexually explicit threads must be marked 18+ in the title. Do not create or view these threads if you are under the age of 18.

7. A character must be posted to the joining thread before you can roleplay them.

8. No god-moding. Your character has a realistic amount of power, do not exceed it.

9. If you want to roleplay an NPC for the sake of a thread's story, go ahead! Any characters you want to roleplay long term must be added to the joining thread, though.

Each rule infraction will result in a warning. After four warnings, the member will be banned for a month. After the month, they will be unbanned, though if they receive another warning after that they will be permanently banned. After a permanent ban, unbanning is considered on a case by case basis.

Warnings will be wiped after six months. So if a warning is given February 6th, 2019, it will be wiped August 6th, 2019.
